-the pose. nice job~ it looks natural and it is an easy pose to get a full view of the character with so i give you cookies for that X3
-next is the detail, since this is not your character you had to draw him fairly accurate so people would know who he is. I think you did great~ the colours, clothes, other minor details are well done and this is obviously Rin.
-the background. I love it mainly because it does not take focus off the focal, which is Rin.
now here are the things I think you could do better with:
-now since this is a cover you should put the title of the story and the name of the author.
-second is the fire, the only thing here is that you should have given it a glow since it looks a little flat.
-the background does not look all that realistic, but more work with backgrounds will help with that so just work more at it.
that is all i really have to say~ the bird and the blood look great~ so just work on the things i said X3 and great job :3
